The EGO is an acronym (Emotional Generation One) …which could be translated into Greek like this: A Sentimental Generation. It is a design study on how it could look like a compact, lightweight Ferrari 2025. Behind the whole project is a group of graduates of the School of Fine Arts of Turin (Istituto d Arte Applicata e Design – IAAD). The Salvatore Simonetti, Massimiliano Petrachi and Vincenzo Morlino, and a graduate of the University of Milan Luca Zunino, are the "parents" of EGO. Their goal was to blend high performance and strong emotion, tradition and the beauty of its vehicles Ferrari.Inspiration for the project were three elements: the egg, which symbolizes the driver-focused concept, the heart of the original which is centrally mounted V8 Biturbo engine and the connection between man and machine. The idea is translated into an egg well protected cockpit, which is made of athrakonimata associated with the suspension through a tubular aluminum chassis, which extends to the center tunnel. The interior displays futuristic bucket seats and "naked" surfaces made of carbon fiber and aluminum. The dashboard design is inspired by the shape of the cockpit of fighter aircraft. The external form of the original is characterized by the separation of tumors, which is achieved thanks to the emerging lateral line, which "copy" various limited production Ferrari. In front is a prominent feature of the bonnet, which reaches the windshield, which embraces the side of the vehicle. Back, back, stands the extremely short overhangs, the spoiler and circular luminaires technology LED.In EGO are also active aerodynamic elements, such as rear spoilers, wings and the front air intakes. The exhaust gases are used to keep better track of the rear EGO. Children from IAAD say they drew inspiration from the Ferrari P3 and P4 / 5, racing prototypes that culminated in the 1960's.
